Today we went to the ROM for my textiles history class. It was very enjoyable. One exhibition that was particularly neat was El Anatsui's show "When I Last Wrote to You about Africa". Anatsui takes discarded milk tins, bottle tops, bits of aluminum foil, wire, etc, and assembles them all together to make spectacular pieces at a grand scale. You have to go and see it in person, it's amazing.
