pancake tuesday! pysanky eggs!
I'm excited for our official Beehive meeting next week, because Anna decided it would be a fun idea to decorate some eggs- Ukrainian style! We're going to make some pysanky, which are Ukrainian Easter eggs decorated with a wax resist. I used to do this when I was a kid, but haven't done it in years! I'm excited. Though I don't know if ours will turn out as amazing as the ones in the above photo.
Speaking of Easter and whatnot, it's pancake Tuesday! Is pancake Tuesday related to Easter? Maybe. But any excuse to pour maple syrup on something is fine by me.
Also, my computer is back, alive and well. Thank goodness I decided to buy the extended care warranty.
Lastly, our weekend in Ellicottville was excellent! It did rain on Saturday, so we stayed in (all 10 of us!) and played Euchre, Settlers of Catan (many times), watched movies, crocheted (me), and we all ate delicious food. Then rain turned into snow on Sunday, and conditions were great for a day of snowboarding. Now I am exceptionally stiff.

I hope ours turn out half as good, those eggs are amazing.
Yes, pancake Tuesday is related to Easter. It's the start of lent which ends with Easter.
