I'll have my pink cake and eat it too please.




































This past Saturday we had a bunch of my classmates over for a birthday party. Some people were actually celebrating their birthday, but I referred to it as a birthday party in general, for everyone! It was Gypsy's birthday too.

Anyhoo, I made this cake. It was this chocolate layer cake from Gourmet paired with this recipe for Swiss Meringue Buttercream frosting from the one and only Martha. I halved the frosting recipe and it was just barely enough.

Nom.

Thank you! I love a good homemade cake too. None of that cake mix out of the box business (unless absolutely necessary).
