Red hot: pickled peppers and red pepper jelly.

Yesterday was pepper madness day. Well, not really that nuts, but more peppery than the average day. Lots of peppers. First up, we've got pickled cherry bomb peppers. Small, cute, but hot hot hot! I used David Lebovitz's recipe, as recommended by Thea. Erick was luckily up for the task of removing the seeds from the peppers. It was a spicy job. All in all, pretty easy peasy! I'll give the verdict on how they turned out in a week or so, when they're good and pickled.

Next, we have red pepper jelly. Yum yum! I used a recipe by Foodland Ontario. It is a recipe for spicy red pepper jelly, but I only used a tiny bit of the hot peppers in the recipe (literally 1/4 of a cherry bomb pepper). So its not too spicy. It hasn't set yet...which is a little bizarre. But hopefully it will eventually...It tastes good though, and that's all that matters!

We still have at least 7-8 sweet red peppers left. I need to figure out what to do with them.
